Walked outside my door and saw this parked on the street. Plus an entire street of classic 60s cars. Don’t know what they were filming but it’s the perfect reminder that you never know what you’re going to bump into in NYC. Plus, I wish they’d bring back the checker cab.

I miss checkers as well, I loved the jump seats!
I wasn’t aware that they had done away with the checkered cabs! That’s too bad, I always thought of NYC whenever seeing pictures of these vehicles.
I know. They are so wonderfully iconic. I wish they’d bring them back.
I lived in NYC for five years and never got to experience the checkered cab. Great photo!
My favorite is when it’s October and they cover a 2-3 block radius with fake snow for movie filming purposes — makes me switch the Ipod immediately to Mariah Carey’s 1994 Christmas album!
