Kicking off the Holidays: Petz Nursery 2 Giveaway

November 22, 2010 by Rebecca Levey

This post is part of a sponsored series from Ubisoft, celebrating “12 Days of Giveaways.” See below for how you can enter up to 12 times to win fun and family-friendly video games.

I am allergic to dogs, and cats, and rabbits, and hamsters…you get the idea.  So of course my daughters are obsessed with all of those pets that will never be a part of our home.  And trust me there are days where they’d probably trade me in for a puppy.  But they have learned to transfer their obsession to the virtual world and Petz Nursery is one of their all time favorite games for the Nintendo DS.  Just in time for this holiday season Petz Nursery 2 is hitting the shelves and they couldn’t be more excited!

In Petz Nursery 2 you can:

  • Take care of up to 22 baby petz and help them grow. As newborns, your baby petz will need to be picked up and played with, and eventually taught to crawl. When night comes, help them fall asleep by rocking them or singing them a lullaby.
  • Unlock never-before-seen exotic petz. Animals such as baby pandas, tigers, polar bears, and leopard cubs, you will be able to pamper wolf cubs, piglets, and 4 different breeds of penguins!
  • Play activities with two babies or just one; but make sure you give both babies attention or one will develop faster than the other.
  • Send your baby petz to the Petz virtual world, Petz World, and unlock exclusive exotic animals.

Sounds like hours of fun right?  And all without the sneezing, itchy eyes and 3 am walkings!

You can purchase Petz Nursery 2 at Amazon or Toys R Us but best of all you can enter right here to win your very own hypoallergenic copy!

Enter the Petz Nursery 2 Giveaway by leaving a comment below telling me a little something about your family’s pet – or why you don’t have one.  A winner will be selected at random on Dec. 3rd as part of the UbiSoft “12 Days Of Giveaways” promotion. (open to residents of the continental US only)

You can also win Just Dance Kids for the Wii on Beccarama through Nov. 30th. Click here.

Want more ways to win great games for the whole family including Just Dance 2 (Wii), Battle of Giants: Dinosaur Strike (Wii), Petz Fantasy (DS) and Petz Nursery (DS)? Visit each of these blogs during our 12 Days of Giveaways from now through December 3!

We have five cats, but there’s one I’d like to tell you about in particular. She is a Siamese named Sassy and she has such a funny personality, perfect for her name. She can be sweet and sassy at the same time, but she’s mostly sassy! We cannot bring a plastic bag into this house without her chewing on it. I’m not sure why, but she tries to chew up our bags! We always stop her, of course, but it’s funny to just look over and see her munching on a tied up plastic bag. Another thing we cannot do is keep a roll of toilet paper or paper towels. We will wake up and find a shredded roll of either and we’ll just know it was SASSY. She seems to have a problem with the way we wash our dishes, too. Everytime any of us wash dishes, she always sits on top of the fridge and watches us to make sure we are doing it right. But still, at the end of the day she is always there sleeping with my mom at night or she is sitting in my lap when I am playing a game or watching TV. Many times when I am on my laptop she will squeeze herself in between my stomach and the laptop until I’m forced to put the laptop down and surrender my lap to her! She’s such a sweet and adorable cat with such a funny personality and I love her to bits. If you would like to see a picture, here she is (after she just had catnip – you can see it on the floor) making herself at home during a Yahtzee game my sister and I were playing. http://img252.imageshack.us/img252/9385/1112092254.jpg

Our pets name is Eeyore, is a 3 yr old black lab and is just one of the kids. He sleeps with me and Daddy, chases the kids around the yard like he is playing tag and it is the best pet ever.

We don’t have any pets. I’d like to have a cat but there are household members with allergies.

I love dogs, but they get hair everywhere. I am still looking for a dog that doesnt shed so much. I have had pets all my life and not having at this moment in my life feels a bit empty at home.

We have a yellow lab called Murphy….he is such a playful dog….and we also have a bunch of fish….the kids love to watch them especially my 10 mo/old.

Thanks for the chance to win!!

We have a German Sherpherd Mix named Bear aka “Shaggy” because he sheds so much. He is now 12 and still does his tricks like rolling over, high five and playing dead. When we took him home from the pound, he was so skinny and wouldn’t eart so we gave him our leftovers. To this day, we need to cut up and heat up his food otherwise he’ll snub us. He is definitely spoiled but so lovable. Even though he’s considered a senior citizen, he’ll always be my Baby Bear.

I have a beagle named Bailey and he is super obsessed with lizards. He lays by my sliding glass doors most of the day watching for them and then barks like crazy if he sees one scurrying by. He chases them all over the deck but hasn’t caught any yet Thank goodness.
I would love to win this game for my nieces Thanks

My family pet is a chihuahua/pekinese mix. She’s good with little kids and adults and is VERY muscular and active. She’s kooky!

    lol

We have three cats, each with a very unique personality. My husband used to be a “dog person”, but Lincoln, George and Teddy convinced him one by one that he needed to be a cat person :) They greet us at the door when we come home, they seem to know when we need an extra snuggle or if the kids need them to just hang out with them. They are spoiled rotten, and deserve to be for all the love they bring into our lives.

Hi, we have 3 cats, 2 gerbils, and 2 African dwarf frogs. Our one cat, Gumby, loves peas, while Gingersnap loves crackers. They’re all so goofy and lovable!

Thanks so much for the giveaway!

We have a 4yr old boston terrier/daschund who doesn’t know she’s a dog. Her name name is Lolo she enjoys cuddling with soft blankets and her stuffed animals, stealing peoples spots when they get up, begging people for food, going for car rides, and making new friends.

  15. on November 24, 2010 at 11:52 pm Maggie T.

The family pet in our house is a beautiful Golden Retriever named Sadie. She can be a handful at times, but when she is sleeping or as she is laying across the couch behind your head, it’s the sweetest thing. Even though she is being naughty one minute, she can turn around and be the sweetest, most lovable puppy there is. I wouldn’t trade her for anything! I love my Sadie Boo!

We have just one animal right now – Joey, the Killer Cat. He was brought home from the shelter to be a sweet, lap-sitting, purring kitty, but instead his personality is that of an outdoor hunter. He is all about hunting, day and night, including pouncing on my 4 yr old grandson at unexpected moments. He’s not a lovey-dovey cat, but he’s our Joey!

We have a cat who had been exclusivly inside for years and years. The week we brought home our son from the hospital, she descided, very loudly, that she was now an outdoor kitty, and she’s never tried to get back inside. I find it hilarious. She must have known even at just a few days old she’s be in for tail pulls and more in such close quarters so she’s better make a break for it while she could!

We have one chocolate tabby cat named Oliver (he was named after a train but my nearly 8 year old daughter would never admit that now!) We’d love to be your lucky winner!
Thanks! foxsquirrelrabbit at gmail dot com

We have 2 cats and it’s funny how they interact with the kids. One can’t stand the kids and the other lets the baby basically beat her up!

  22. on November 29, 2010 at 1:13 pm Holly

We have a pet hamster named Zoe. She is the life of the party when my DD has friends over and all in all, a very nice pet. We also have a fish, but my kids change her name so often, I can’t even remember what it is these days!

  23. on November 29, 2010 at 4:05 pm Melanie

We just have a fish tank. I’m allergic to cats and we recently found out our daughter is allergic to dogs.

We have two African Dwarf frogs (small and totally aquatic). They like to go in a ‘zen’ position where they spread out their arms and legs and hang out. Sometimes, they’ll even fall over backwards like that. Funny things . . .

    I don’t have a pet because 3 boys under 4 are enough work!! ;)

  31. on December 2, 2010 at 11:29 pm Dee

We have a few pets. 4 cats and 2 dogs. I’ll tell you about our newest addition. His name is Polar and he is a ten year old American Eskimo. We got him last week and he decided to squeeze through the fence and take himself for a walk today. I found him wandering the neighborhood without a care in the world. Crazy dog :)

  32. on December 3, 2010 at 12:47 am Angela

We have a Siberian Husky who thinks hes a small lapdog most days and is the worlds best escape artist. Then we have a Russian Blue cat whos name is Bullet because he is lightening fast and helps the escape artist dog get out of the house. And… he loves french frys… which could account for his recent weight gain, but hey, we aren’t counting his calories lol.

We have a dog, Sadie, that we adopted the year before my husband and I were married (almost 15 years ago). She’s such a cutie patootie mutt! She’s my first pet and has been through so much with us.
I’m highly allergic to cats….so when Sadie isn’t with us anymore – we’ll definitely get another dog!

ok, so my dd is totally beggin’ for a kitten for christmas. they thing is I don’t have time to take care of animals. I don’t like they smell either, i know i know cats are easy but i don’t know if I could get used to randomly seeing an animal walk around. We never had animals in the house growing up but my parents just got a cat (probably why my dd is wanting one now) and it was caught red-pawed licking the cheeseball at Thanksgiving…GrOss!!

  35. on December 3, 2010 at 10:36 am Angela

We have a cat and she is feisty! She fights and attacks at all times. She will occasionally surprise us by ending up in our bed in the middle of the night but she’s mostly a loner.

  36. on December 3, 2010 at 10:44 am Kellie Conklin

We have 3 minature dachshunds and we love them because they have such unique and big personalities! They love to sleep in the sun and will put their toys under the couch and then cry for hours only to do it again! THanks!
